The girls got new jammies on Christmas Eve!!

A week or so ago, we gathered the kids to grandma's house to help pile firewood and rake leaves. They ended up doing more playing than raking, but what do you expect. I love this time of year and I especially love to watch my kids get so excited over a pile of leaves and discovering how fun it is to jump in them over and over again. Ah, to be a kid again!
New Job, New Responsibilites!
Well, tomorrow I am starting my 4th week at my new job. For those of you who don't know, I have started doing office work for Frank & Karen Hinckley and their construction company, Hinckley James, Inc. It's been pretty cool so far, except I am definitely feeling a little out of my comfort zone. For years now I have done daycare and pretty much didn't ever have any great expectations except for just providing a fun and safe place for kids to be. Not too difficult.
My new job isn't all that difficult... yet. They have me paying bills, making out checks, doing payroll, invoices, answering phone, checking mail, making deposits, etc. But now Frank has been asking me to reorganize the office, which I feel totally hesitant about, since they have made it their own, and although it's a mess, it's an organized mess, which means they still know where everything is. I feel like if I go in there and move things around, none of us will know where anything is at.
He has also been asking me to create a business portfolio or brochure for him to present at bid meetings so he has a way of showing off all of his different projects. This definitely goes beyond my skill level. I guess I don't have enough confidence in myself to do this, but I will have to try. Karen also wants me to eventually learn everything about Quickbooks and how to do everything their accountant does for them so they don't have to pay her to do it for them anymore and just have me do it all.
I am excited for this opportunity and I know I will learn a lot and be able to use this knowledge for future endeavors. I just really hope that I can do all that is asked of me and more!
