Jaxon!

Jaxon loves to walk around with his push toy. He's getting really good now about being able to steer around obstacles. It's amazing how he has taught himself how to do this!

6th Grade Track

Kaitlyn is in track now and she likes it pretty well. She has done a few track meets so far. These are pics from the one in Lovell. She competed in the long jump, triple jump, the 400 meter and the 800 meter. She did well in all of her events. She knows she will probably have to do it a few years before she gets really good, so for right now, she is just focusing on her own personal records.

Lovin the Outdoors!!

One of Jaxon's favorite things to do now is to crawl around outside in the yard. He loves to play on the grass and really enjoys throwing the rocks onto the grass. He also loves to watch the "doggies" in their pen and he's always wanting to crawl up to the fence and play with them. This is now his favorite place to be, so we try to let him be outside as much as possible when the weather is nice enough! Can't wait till summer!

OOPS!

The other day, I decided to give my floor a good scrub down, instead of the usual mopping I do every week. So I got my bowl of soapy water and went to work. Jaxon was having fun pushing the bowl around the floor and I totally thought that was OK because it seemed to be too heavy for him to tip over. Boy, was I wrong! All of a sudden, I heard a whoosh and water went clear across the floor. Of course, I panicked and scrambled to wipe it up, but then I knew I would laugh about it later and that it would be a great memory to relive, so I grabbed the camera and took a few pics of him splashing in the middle of the puddle, soaking wet!

Tomato Plants and Wheat Grass

My tomato plants are growing like crazy and our wheat grass really took off!

Jaxon!!

Here's Jaxon with his favorite blankie. His Aunt Stacey (Josh's wife) made this for him after he was born. He sleeps with it and likes to hold it more than any other blanket that he has!

Easter Dinner at Aunt Ann's House

I didn't get very many pictures of everyone because it was so hectic that I forgot!

Easter Dinner at My Mom's House

Ann's Egg Hunt

Easter Morning

On Easter morning, the kids discovered their baskets filled with candy. After our egg hunt and taking showers, we headed over to Aunt Ann's for her annual egg hunt. After that, we settled down to watch General Conference. The girls had their conference activity packets all printed out and ready to go. Later, we ate with the Hayes family and then again with my family. Great day!

Cowley Egg Hunt

Visiting Family

On the Saturday before Easter, my cousin Will Clark, and his wife and daughter came to Lovell to my Aunt Gwens house for a visit. We went down to see them for awhile. Jaxon and Tylee got along really well. They were so curious about each other. It was funny to watch them play together. My cousin Jeri and her kids were also there, along with my aunts and uncle.

GETTING READY FOR EASTER!!

In preparation for Easter, we made sugar cookies to share with everyone and we colored eggs for our big Easter egg hunt. These are two of our fun traditions every year!

APRIL FOOLS DAY!!

We started out the day with me putting food coloring in the bottom of my girls' cereal bowls (without them knowing), so when they put milk in, it turned green. Then I gave them a card they couldn't open and paper wads in their shoes so they couldn't get their feet in. After they got out of school, I had some "special" chocolate donut holes waiting for them as a snack. After tasting them, they realized it was playdough and not actual donuts. LOL!!! I gave them some mazes, card games, word searches, and word puzzles that were impossible to solve. I also put balls in the cupboards so they would fall out when opened. I put a sign on their bedroom door, warning them of a large rodent living in there. They were afraid to open their door! Ha, Ha! I put a rubber band on the kitchen sink sprayer so when they turned on the water, they would get sprayed. (The girls noticed this, so it didn't work on them, but later, my husband got sprayed twice, and so did I because I forgot about it.) For dinner, I made meatloaf that looked like cupcakes, rice krispy treats that looked like meatloaf, and ice cream and caramel topping that looked like mashed potatoed and gravy. It was HILARIOUS to see their reactions! What a fun day!
