Mustang Days!
We celebrated Mustang Days with the family by going to the parade on Saturday, then later we went out to Horseshoe Bend to have a picnic and watch the fireworks. Jaxon was grouchy all through the picnic and didn't get happy until later, when we went down by the lake to sit on the grass. We got out his ball and he had a great time after that just playing around on the dirt and grass. He ended up falling asleep on my lap later, right before the fireworks. He slept all through them and woke up right at the end to watch the finale. Kyra was her usual chatty self and talked all through the fireworks to her cousin Zoey. Had a great time
Jax is eating ghoulash!
I had to take a picture of Jaxon eating ghoulash, applesauce, and corn because for the past week or so, I have been struggling to get Jaxon to eat anything. He's decided he is done eating babyfood, so we have been experimenting with different foods. He's mostly been eating crackers, bread, grated cheese, and bananas. So when he started eating ghoulash that night, and loving it, I got excited and had to take pics!
Fun in the Summer!
Here's some pictures of the kids playing in Jaxon's little pool. The last picture is of Jaxon playing in the banana chair that we bought at a yard sale. He loves it!
Jaxon Turns 1!!
I can't believe Jaxon is a year old already! We invited all of mine and my husband's family over and had a big get together! He got a sandbox and his very own pool! Happy Birthday Jax!
Summer Trip

We decided to go to South Dakota for a mini vacation for a few days in June. We wanted to be adventurous and do something different, so we decided to camp out instead of stay in a hotel. We ended up staying at a KOA campground in Deadwood. On the first night we were there, it was raining a little, so we had to put the tent up in the rain. It was only about 60 degrees outside, but the girls wanted to go swimming. It was a little too cold so they took a dip in the hot tub afterwards. The next day, we went to Mount Rushmore, Bear Country USA, and Reptile Gardens. We got to see all kinds of different animals. After spending 2 nights there, we oacked up the next day and headed towards home. We stopped to take a picture of Devils Tower. When we got to Sheridan, we didn't feel like going home just yet, so we ended up staying the night at a hotel there. The girls wanted to have one more night away from home, but we were tired of sleeping on the ground. We swam in the pool that night and ate pizza. The next day, we headed home. Jaxon was probably the happiest to be home. He didn't like the sleeping arrangements at all. It was nice to get away, even if just for a few days!
