January 20, 2011 - We brought Trixie home from the vet today after she got fixed yesterday.  She's pretty sore and we can tell it bothers her quite a bit because she's always licking her stitches and using her back foot to scratch them.  She's been sleeping a lot, not eating much, and not very energetic at all.  She's acting really depressed and sad.  Hopefully we can keep Jaxon from tackling her so she can heal ASAP!

January 15, 2011  - Well, my sister Autumn finally found a house to rent in Cowley.  So she's been busy cleaning and painting it to get ready to move in.  I helped clean her kitchen one day and then a few days later helped paint the second coat on the living room walls after mom had started them.  Kaitlyn helped paint trim, also.  I came back with Jaxon a couple days later and helped paint some more.  Jaxon just played with a ball while I did it and did really well on not getting into the paint, until he tripped and fell into my paint tray as he was going after the ball.  I had to strip off his pants, socks, and shoes.  After that he ran around in his diaper and shirt.  He kept leaning against the wall when he would throw his ball, so his shirt pretty much got ruined along with everything else.  He also discovered how fun it was to run his hands down a wet wall and cover them in paint!  I wish I had gotten some pictures of that, but I didn't have my camera.

I wanted to put these funny pictures of Jaxon on here.  The first one is hilarious because he likes to put his hand down his pants a lot and he ended up giving himself plumbers crack.  LOL!  The second picture shows him being a daredevil on his motorcycle!

January 15 - Kyra was a part of cheerleading camp this year.  She had a blast and really rocked the house with her performance.  I got a lot of comments about how well she did.  Go Kyra!
January 14, 2011 - These are pics from my monthly trip to Costco.  We always have to fill 2 carts up completely, so I always need some good helpers to come with me.  Kaitlyn's usually the lucky one, but today Kyra and Rylee came with me.  We had to go on a Friday, (I let the kids skip school; Kaitlyn didn't want to miss school, so she stayed home) because my Saturday is going to be super busy.  Autumn watched Jaxon for me till Kaitlyn got out of school at 12:30.  Then Kaitlyn and her friend Jaime watched him until Dave got home from work at 3:30pm.

January 13, 2011 -- I had to get this box from Red Apple to use for a project for Relief Society, but Jaxon and Kyra had to try it out first.  Jax wanted Trixie in it so he could wrestle with her.  So adorable!

January 13, 2011-  We went to Kaitlyn's basketball game this afternoon.  She played really well.  Jaxon got a lot of attention from the Arnold clan.  They kept following him around and playing with with him.  He loved the attention and had a good time!

January 12, 2011 -  Jaxon pulled rolls of toilet paper out, unwrapped them, and built this tower with them, all on his own!  How cute!
On January 8, Autumn had to go to Cody for her final TESOL presentation, so she asked me to take her kids that morning and then drop them off at Stacy's this afternoon.  The girls had fun together and the weather was so beautiful that we were able to take our coats off to play Fox and the Hound!

Jaxon and His Blankie

Jaxon loves the blankie that his Aunt Stacey made for him.  For the past few months, I have noticed he likes to hold onto the corners of the blankie and suck or chew on them.  Everytime he holds it, he reaches to find a corner or two to hold onto.  This is a picture of him holding the corner while he kicks the basketball to Kyra.

Breakfast for Dinner!

One of our favorite things to eat is Breakfast for Dinner.  The kids all love it and I don't have any complaints when I make it.  Tonight, Jaxon wanted to help me make pancakes.
First, he helped me stir the batter in my bowl...
Then I gave him his own bowl and the pancake mix, so he could make his own pancakes.  He tried scooping the mix into the bowl......
But he decided that took too long, so he just grabbed the bag and started dumping it in instead...
Now it's in his hair!
What a messy kid! He sure made a yummy batch of pancakes though!!!

Trade-Off Babysitting

Amyntas came up with the idea of me watching Laevin for a couple of hours and then she would watch Jaxon for a couple hours.  This way, we could both benefit from a little free time, and it's great social time for the both of them to hopefully get used to each other and be best friends eventually.  This was their first day together.  I watched Laevin from 8-10am and then she took them from 10-12, so I could go to my presidency meeting.  It worked out really well.  Although, Jaxon wasn't too excited about having to stay at Karen's.  He wouldn't take his coat off and he made Amyntas hold him the entire time.  But we're hoping he'll get used to the idea.  We're going to try to do this from time to time.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

We started the night at about 6:00pm.  We dropped all of the kids off at my sister Stacy's house with Miranda and her gramma Ruth.  Then we adults came to our house and watched "Inception."  It was so nice to watch a movie in peace and quiet and with no interruptions.  It was also an excellent movie!  After that, we picked up the kids and brought them back over.  We snacked on li'l smokies, chips and dip, cheese and crackers, apples and grapes in fruit dip, wassail, fudge, etc.  We danced to Just Dance 2, and played Family Feud and  "Buzzword."  Everyone stayed awake till midnight this year (even Jaxon, who was in an awesome mood), but no one got very excited when the ball finally dropped.  I guess we were all worn out by then, and soon after everyone split to go home and go to bed.  It was a great year and I wonder what 2011 will be like.  Goodbye 2010 and ring in the new year!!!!  Happy New Year Everyone!!!  See you next year!

My Birthday

I didn't do a whole lot for my birthday this year.  After we got back from iceskating, Kaitlyn and Rylee went bowling for Lizzie Crawford's birthday party and Kyra and me made Easy Bake cakes while Jaxon slept.  I got really mad at it because I accidentally put too much water in the fondant and had to waste 2 packages of it to just thicken it up a little.  Kyra was very patient, though and made me a couple of cute, pink cakes.  Later, when the girls got home, and Jaxon woke up, they sang Happy Birthday to me and we ate them.  Then, we went downstairs and watched Shrek 4.  My mom and mother in law dropped by with cards and Happy Birthday wishes earlier, while me and Kyra played Blokus after making the cakes.  Dave was working all day and then watching Monday Night Football tonight.  Pretty uneventful, but that's fine with me.  The best part of the whole day was spending time with my kids!

Iceskating!

For my birthday, we decided to go iceskating.  I was just going to take the girls, but then Kyra asked if we could invite Hailey and Zoey.  That sounded like a good idea, so we also invited Miranda.  Autumn was excited about it and she picked up Ruth to go with us too.  I grabbed a cooler and filled it with hot water, some hot chocolate packets, cups and spoons; we bundled up and we were ready to go!  We drove to Moncur's down in Lovell and got our skates on and then had a blast!  I took pictures the whole time, and followed Jaxon around on the ice, so I didn't get to skate at all, but I had fun watching the kids and sipping hot cocoa.  Jaxon had some good boots, so he was able to walk around without slipping too much.  We stayed for about an hour or so, before Jaxon and McKayla started complaining.  We would have stayed longer because the weather was beautiful and the kids were having so much fun.  We'll have to do it again soon!
