Memorial Day

Since the weather was so nice, we all decided to head for the hills! We ended up going out to the Pryors for a picnic and 4 wheeling. My sisters and their kids came and we ate hamburgers and hotdogs that my wonderful brother in law, Alan was nice enough to cook for us. Jaxon can't walk yet, so he ended up crawling around in the dirt and cactus. Afterwards, everyone was ready for a ride. I didn't know if Jaxon would enjoy it too much, so I considered staying there, or heading home with my sister Autumn and her baby. But then we decided to see how it goes and if he gets fussy, we could always turn around and come back. So we headed out on the 4 wheelers. I held Jaxon on my lap, while Dave drove. Within 5 minutes, Jaxon was asleep. I guess the loud noise and big bumps were too much for him, so he slept for the first half hour that we rode. Everytime we stopped to wait for people, he would start to wake up, so as long as we kept moving he kept sleeping. Eventually, he woke up, but he just kept riding, only squirming when we stopped. As long as we were moving, he would hunker down behind his Dad (he didn't like the wind) and just ride along peacefully. He loved it! We rode for probably 2 hours or so and he did great! I never thought he would enjoy it as much as he did. I was also amazed at Kaitlyn's driving skills. She drove our little 4 wheeler over some pretty big bumps and dips with no problems at all. We ended up climbing and descending the hill in the first picture! You can see the path zigzagging down the side. Had a fun day!
