Flooded Basement!

I forgot to mention something that happened this summer. I went down to the basement to get something out of the freezer in the furnace room when I noticed there was a few inches of water covering the floor. I panicked and called Dave, who just coming home from Byron after doing some football related stuff. He said he would be right there and later arrived with his assistant coaches, Joe Davis and Justin Moss. They both came to offer their assistance. We all worked together to shop vac the water and towel it off the carpet in the hallway. We gathered some fans and used them to dry out the area. We realized the basement toilet had become plugged which caused a sewer backup in the furnace room drain when I started the washer and Rylee took a shower at the same time. We blew it out, with Rylee plugging the sink drain, Kaitlyn plugging the bathtub drain, and Justin plugging the toilet. I controlled the hose flow, by turning the water on when asked to and Joe and Dave ran the hose through the drain. We finally got it unplugged, all the while Joe kept us laughing through the whole ordeal. I was so glad they were there to help!
