Father's Day Drive in the Mountains

June 19 - After church today, my husband wanted to take a drive up the mountain to see how much snow was still up there.  As you can see, there's still quite a bit!  There were also a lot of clouds and fog which made things look pretty neat.

After we got back, Jaxon found a puddle in our driveway leftover from all of the rain we got this morning.  He didn't have any shoes on, but who needs them anyway?  His socks will definitely have to be thrown away after this...
He has to throw a rock in, of course...

Then he had to get his bike and take that through the mud...

After he got done getting dirty, he decided to fill the wagon up with the hose and wash his feet off at the same time...
Tonight, Jaxon and Kyra were finally able to try out their new doghouse/chalkboard I painted for them a few days ago.  They were pretty excited about it!

Happy Father's Day!!

June 18 - On the Saturday before Father's Day, we celebrated by driving up to Cottonwood Canyon for a picnic.  We ate the usual, hotdogs, chips, pop, and Stacy brought coleslaw, and I brought chocolate chip cookies.
Going for a hike before we eat...

 Yummy!

After we ate, we went on a hike up the canyon...Jaxon hitched a ride for part of the way...

Taking a break on the trail...

Throwing rocks into the water down below...

Jaxon is cruising now...He actually walked most of the way and we ended up walking about an hour and fifteen minutes to get to the end of our route!
 Stopping for a pic!
Had to get some pics of "the girls"

 Yaayy we made it!

On the way back, Kyra found this stick and carried it the whole way back!
Phew!  What a trooper!  Good job Jax!
