Helping Mom!

January 7: I officially started my job as custodian on the 3rd of this month.  Kids helped me do a quick clean of the district office today (Saturday) so I can transition to cleaning it in the evenings next week. I've been trying to find a good cleaning schedule that works for me.  This week, I've been cleaning the district office from 4:30 to 7:30 every morning and the school from 1:00 to 6:00pm. Don't really like the early mornings cause it's been tough trying to get to bed earlier every night.  Since I just cleaned the school yesterday (Friday) and I want to transition to cleaning the district office at like 10:00 at night, we're doing a quick clean today so it will be ready for Monday.  UPDATE:  After a week of cleaning school from 1-6pm and district office from at night after spending family time at home every evening, I have decided I don't like that schedule either.  After trying different things, I finally settled on working a straight 8 hours from 10:30pm to 6:30am Sunday through Thursday nights, so I always get Friday and Saturday nights off.  It works good this way cause it doesn't interfere with family and I can sleep while Jaxon's in school.  I also like cleaning the school while no one is there cause I always felt like I was waiting around for people and having to work around the teachers and having to go back and clean it again after students came in.  Works out so much better this way.  And I technically only have to work 30 hours and still be full time so I've been leaving an hour early on Friday mornings to get a head start to the weekend.  Had to find all of our handprints from on the school's wall and reminisce about when they went to school here and memories in the library.
