April 4 - I decided to put my seedlings in the greenhouse before my trip, hoping it would help everyone have an easier time of taking care of them, but I believe this was a big mistake. For one, the seedlings were very young and vulnerable at this point. They were looking good when I put them in there but the weather got a little iffy....major wind storms that shook the greenhouse bad enough to knock some of them off the shelves inside so I had to repot them....snowstorms and cold temperatures as well. Also, while I was on my trip, the temperature outside got up in the 70's, so the greenhouse temperature got over 100 degrees inside and no one knew enough to open the windows and door to let air in, so they basically cooked inside. Dave was trying to be good and water them everyday, but didn't realize he was over watering since the plants tended to stay pretty wet because it was so humid inside the greenhouse. The last two pictures were ones that Dave sent me while I was on my trip and pretty much all of the plants were dead....when I got home, I tried to save the still green ones, but eventually every single one of them died...so sad.:(
