Wax Museum

May 23 - Rylee had to dress up as a historical person and be in a wax museum at school.  She wanted to be an indian because she had a costume for it.  Since other people chose Sacajawea and Pocahontas before she could, we had to research the internet to find another indian from American history.  We found "Polly Cooper" which was her English name.  We don't know her real name, or when she was born or died.  There wasn't much info on her because she wasn't well known.  She was a member of the Oneida Indian Tribe and she helped George Washington's troops during the American Revolutionary War at Valley Forge.  We had fun learning about what she did and Rylee had a great time playing her character.  Me and Jaxon went to the school to see her, along with all of her classmates.  They each had to memorize a short summary about their person and then say it when their button was pushed.  They all did really well!
