Kyra's 9th Birthday Party

Kyra's birthday was on a Sunday this year, so we had our usual Sunday dinner with my family at 5pm, consisting of chicken patty sandwiches, tator tots, pretzel salad, tossed salad, and lemonade.
Afterwards, Dave's family came over and we all sang to her and had cake and ice-cream.  She wanted the funfetti cake with chocolate frosting.  She also wanted it in the cones for cupcake cones, but I thought we should have some cupcakes for those who might not like the cones.  We still had a box of cake mix left, so we just made a cake, too,  so we could put the candles on it and write happy birthday.

 Yummy!!!

Time for presents!!!
These are the shoes she was wanting really bad.  Had to order them from Amazon since I couldn't find them anywhere!  She also wanted some skinny jeans, shirts, skirts, socks, and earrings.
This is Kyra wearing a headband, earrings, shirt, necklace, pants, shoes, and socks that she got for her birthday.

VALENTINES DAY

This was Kyra's valentine box that she decorated for school...
this was the card and cookies Kyra gave to Autumn for an FHE challenge of giving something special to the person who's heart we found during Stacy's FHE lesson last Sunday.

Jaxon had Rylee, so he frosted her some special cookies and made her a card too...

He was soo excited to give it to her!!!
This is my wall behind which I prepared our Valentine Mystery dinner...
And this is what it looks like from the other side...
First, they have to decide what they want off their menus to eat...
Then, they get served!  Because it's a mystery, sometimes they ended up with a weird combination of things.  For example, for Dave's first course, he received a toothpick, a plastic knife, a fork, and a napkin.  It's really fun and we've done it for the past few years.  The kids look forward to it every year now!!

Then I gave each of them a box of chocolates!

Before and After

We cleaned the kids' room today and I just had to take a picture of it because it was the messiest I have seen it in a long time!  Instead of "Where's Waldo?", in this case, it's "Where's Jaxon?"  Can you spot him??  It definitely looks better after getting it all cleaned up!!

SUPERBOWL SUNDAY

We spent a quiet evening at home, watching the Superbowl.  Mainly, it was spent watching the kids play and eating lots of good junk food!  My dad came over and watched it with us.  I actually had a great time just spending the day with my kids!

A Day In The Life of Jaxon....

During the day when Jaxon's at home with me, he has to get creative on how he spends his day.  I tend to get busy with housework or computer work and he gets a lot of time to himself.  I really really try to balance my day with spending an equal amount of time with him as I devote to work, but it's soooo hard!   While I'm busy, he usually watches TV...
 builds forts...

plays with Chi Chi (or tortures her), in this case, he's reading her a book...
And then, by the end of the day he's wiped out!!!

Pink Game

Feb 1 - Pink game at RMHS today against Thermopolis.  We won all of the Varsity games.  The girls game was pretty exciting because Shauna hit a 3 pointer when Rocky was down 3 points and only about 20 seconds to go in the game.  That put it into overtime and we ended up winning after that.  This  first picture was before we left to the game...

Rylee dance at halftime of the girls varsity game...

Josh, Stacey, and Jasper even decided to join us at the games for the first time this season.  Yaayy!

Kaitlyn and Miranda cheered throughout the games and even performed their state routine during the boys Varsity halftime.  They're pretty good, but they definitely need to polish it before they perform it for real on March 6.
Everyone gathered after the games to sing the school song...
I finally caught these two after the games to get their pic!  It's so fun to see them be cheerleaders together this year before Miranda graduates.
