Kaitlyn is finally old enough to have a date for Homecoming, so she went with Shay Bond this year. I was surprised when she told me he had asked her because I didn't even know they knew each other. She said she has gotten to know him in one of her classes last year and that he's just a good friend. She thought I was being rude by my reaction but I was more surprised than anything else just because I was expecting someone else to ask her. They seemed to have a good time even though Kaitlyn had to help DJ the dance that night and didn't get to dance much. Rylee went with a group of friends this year. They both borrowed their dresses from Maddie Crawford. I would have bought Kaitlyn a dress but it was last minute and we ran out of time. She had another one before this one that I liked better, but she gave it to Livia and took this one instead. I was kind of mad because this one has a really low back on it and so I made her wear a tshirt under it. It turned out just fine though, so I'm glad!
