September 1- Labor Day

We went up John Blue Canyon today to do some 4 wheeling.  We wanted to go up the mountain, but the weather was looking a little iffy, so we played it safe.  It did rain a little while we were riding, but then it stopped and the sun came out and it ended up being a beautiful day!

Stopped at armpit to sign our names...

Thought this was weird to have in an outhouse....

 Scary...
Found this cave and it said to stay out....
so what do we do?  We go exploring!!!

Lunchtime while we wait for the others to come out of the cave!

Natural Trap cave where a lot of archeologists have been exploring this summer and finding fossils from wooly mammoths, short faced bears, collared lemmings, lions, cheetahs, and camels!  They would fall into the trap and couldn't get out so would die.  Over 30,000 specimens have been collected over the years, mostly from extinct animals.  Super cool!

Later that night, we went to Stacy's house for a bbq.  Had a great day today!!

Here's the kids working on their "fort" at Stacy's behind her bush in her front yard.  They've worked really hard on getting it all fixed up!
