May 16: The original plan on the schedule was to celebrate dad's birthday today, so even though he's not here, we wanted to celebrate it anyway. So, we decided to picnic up the Pryor's at the spot we went to last summer, just off the side of the road. Didn't quite make it because Autumn got a flat tire on her jeep, so we all ended up turning around and going back down mountain after fixing her flat with her spare. We were going to try to have a cookout in this spot, but the grill wouldn't work. So we ended up back at my house for a campfire and while we were at it, we burned a bunch of dad's financial papers that aren't needed and have personal info on them. We had to laugh at the fact that Autumn got a flat and grill wouldn't work...seemed pretty fitting for celebrating my dad since stuff like that happened all the time when he was around. :)
