Monday Feb. 7 - Powell Basketball Game....Jaxon twisted his foot sideways to the ground and injured it tonight at the game. It happened just shortly after the game started and he was taken out for the rest of it. It seemed to hurt pretty bad and he mentioned that it tingled.
On Wednesday, we took him into Dr. Ferbrache to get an X-ray. Was told it doesn't look broken. but with the growth plates in his foot because of his age, it's hard to see if there's a possible stress fracture. Without getting an MRI, it's hard to see if there's a tear in the ligament or not. He recommended to wait another 7-10 days and if there's still pain, to come back and get another X-ray and we may be able to see more at that point. Until then, rest it, ice it, and elevate it, putting weight on it as tolerated. Borrowed crutches from Larry and a boot from grandma...
Heading to school on Thursday....he has a game tonight and tomorrow night and ended up just sitting the sidelines to watch and support his team...
A little swollen but not too bad and it never did really swell much, if at all....
