Sunday Shenanigans

February 25 - Spent Sunday afternoon at the school, playing pickleball at the elementary school gym and then hide and go seek throughout the school.  Kyra got stuck in a trashcan and needed help getting out. Afterwards, played games on the Wii.  These are my favorite days....:)

 

Clean Church

After getting home from the tournament, we went over to clean the church together.  Jaxon was so tired from the games, he crashed on the couch while me and Kyra cleaned. :)

 

8th Grade Yellowstone Tournament

Feb 24 - Went to Cody today for the Yellowstone Tournament.  Rocky is 1st seed going in so we played Lovell 1st and beat them 25-14.  After that, played Cody and lost a heartbreaking loss of 27-30 and wasn't able to make it into the championship.  They had barely beat Cody earlier in the season, but it was pretty intense....this time, they just couldn't do it but definitely could have if they had made more foul shots during the game....they missed more than they should have....sad.  Played for 3rd place against Thermopolis, who they had lost earlier in the season to, and beat them 35-31.  They were disappointed to not win the championship but they played amazing and I'm so proud of them!!!  No pictures afterwards since they were all bummed out.  Mom and Larry watched with me, Dave and Kyra.  Kyra drove separately so she could bop out to Walmart and Sierra Trading Post in between games.  Stopped at Wendy's to grab foo for the way home.  Found out later that Cody beat Powell pretty bad in the championship round to take 1st place.

 

Lights Out!

Feb 20 - Lights went out tonight for a few hours, so we lit all the candles...had to work at 10, but ended up not going in till 11:30 and was going to try to clean as much as I could in the dark, but then the lights came back on shortly after I got there.  Never clocked in, so just did a quick clean and then went home and got all my hours anyway.

 

Kyra's 20 Birthday Dinner

February 18 - Celebrated Kyra's bday with some rice bowls.  She's obsessed with the rice bowl place in Billings called Five on Black, so she wanted to recreate their rice bowls for dinner.  I have never had a rice bowl, nor ever made them.  She had a friend who has made them before and got a little description from her on how her mom made them, but we basically had to wing it.  I was so worried on how they would turn out but ended up getting lots of compliments and everyone saying how good they are and that I need to make them again another time.  Phew! She also wanted Krispy Kreme donuts for dessert but Kaitlyn and Josh weren't able to come to Jaxon's tournament yesterday and they were going to bring a bunch of donuts down with them, but since they didn't make it, we ended up just making Texas sheet cake which is yummy as always.  After dinner, Kyra headed to Billings to spend a girls night with her sisters and stay the night at Rylee's and then have a fun day tomorrow with them since none of them have to work because it's Presidents Day.  Picture at the end is them at Glow Putt... a new miniature golfing place in Billings where you golf in the dark and with 3D glasses.  so fun!  Happy 20th Birthday Ky!!

 

Kyra Bday Celebration

After the tournament, I felt bad for Kyra having to spend all day at the tournament, so I told her we could drive to Powell and pick her up some Subway, grab some Dominos for the rest of us and some popcorn from Vali Cinema, and then come home and watch a movie together.  This is the only picture I got of that for my BeReal....

 

8th Grade Tournament

Kyra's bday today, but we spent it at the 8th grade tournament in Burlington.  We got a bye the first round cause we're the #1 seed. We beat Greybull by like 50-17 or something, it wasn't even close. Played Burlington in the championship and won  44-24 to take 1st place!!! On to the Yellowstone tournament next weekend!!!

 

Valentines Day Dinner

Feb 13 - Had dinner on the 13th because Kyra is scheduled to work at the Bull Pub tomorrow night (while we were eating, the Pub texted her and said they didn't need her to come in tomorrow now).  Sidenote....As you may know, Kyra is working full time at the 1st Bank in Lovell, so she's always excited when she doesn't have to work at the Bull Pub cause that makes a long day for her.  Anyway, for dinner we had spaghetti and cheese bread from Dominos, salad, cupcakes, pop over ice-cream, and grapes cause I didn't get strawberries.  Turned out really good!!  Thinking this might be the last time we do this if Kyra isn't here next year?  We shall see....  Dave went and saw his mom at the care center and took her some flowers. :)
