Noticed how our apple and Canadian Red haven't been growing very well over the years. Chat GPT said it could be because they need room around the base to get more nutrients , so we dug around and filled with mulch to see it that helps. Dave ended up cutting down a little too deep on the red tree and cutting some roots so now it acts like it wants to fall over, so he had to tie it to a stake for support. Hopefully it survives. Used the clumps of grass to fill in some dead spots from dog pee.
